Effie Brown - Producer, Duly Noted

Los Angeles based producer Effie T. Brown received a degree in Film Production and Theater from Loyola Marymount University before going on to participate in Film Independent's Project Involve, an intensive fellowship program for people who are seeking a career in the film industry. There she received an invaluable introduction to the film industry and quickly worked her way up through the ranks to become the Director of Development for Tim Burton Productions in 1995.


Reuben Lim - Producer, Lane Street Pictures

Reuben Lim is an Independent Film Producer based in Los Angeles, CA. His previous films include Half-Life (Sundance 2008), Entry Level (2007), Super Capers (2009). Through his Production Company, Lane Street Pictures, Reuben has also produced award winning films Reversion (Sundance 2008) and the observational documentary Where Are You Taking Me? (2010). His most recent film is Saving Lincoln, about the true life friendship between Abraham Lincoln and his bodyguard, Ward Hill Lamon (in theatres now). Reuben is a Sundance Producing Fellow and also produces interactive and animation content.

Lanré - Producer, Queen Nefertari Productions

Lanré Idewu is a Producer and Chief Operating Officer of Queen Nefertari Productions, a feature film and television Production Company backed by a $30 million film fund, represented by The Gersh Agency in Los Angeles. Mr. Idewu helped form Queen Nefertari Productions in 2009 with private investor and philanthropist Cynthia Stafford. Mr. Idewu's contribution to the company is a unique blend of creativity and business acumen attained through his experience as an actor, producer and entrepreneur. Felix Werner is the founder of the soon to be launched, Modern Media Company, which is a privately held international company specializing in the financing, production, distribution and marketing of multi-media projects.

We Make Movies is an indie film collective in Los Angeles dedicated to making the independent film world a better, more humane place - and also to making some really cool shit. The film collective was created in the spring of 2009 by filmmakers Sam Mestman, Joe Leonard and Tara Samuel.
